The Moulin Rouge! The Musical visual identity contains a series of assets that you can include in your design. Below are the most common design elements, as well as examples across print and digital formats. For information on how to roll out designs, please visit the tab on Campaign Phasing.

Design elements

NYT Critic Pick's Badge

A custom version has been made with the red glow around the "T" and the starbust.

Social Icons

Social media icons have been styled to fit the "light" style of the visual identity.

Gold Frame

You can add this gold frame to elevate your design. This file is made by four filigree corners and four bars that can be adjusted to fit the dimensions of your artwork. It is recommended to create a separate file in Photoshop for this frame when working in InDesign or Illustrator. The Gold Frame can be used in different-sized shapes for social media, e.g., 4:5, 1:1, 16:9, etc.

Big Confetti

For use on video end cards on TV spots and/or social media video.

Small Confetti

For use in animation in social media and/or in print.

The small confetti file has been customized to make its pieces more uniform in size and spacing. As a general guideline, you may use the biggest piece in the top left corner as a reference of scale when using it with the logo: this piece should roughly fit 6-8 times within the height of the red letters in the logo.

This guideline is not one-size-fit-all, so use your judgement when scaling and expanding the confetti across digital and printed deliverables. When using this confetti in artwork that includes people, make sure its scale is close to real-life proportions. When in doubt, err on the side of smaller.

Additionally, make sure to mask out any pieces that overlap content such as logos, text or people, so these are clearly visible and readable.

Please note: this small confetti is a modified Shutterstock asset. Each territory is responsible for licensing its usage as applicable.

Legal Copy Line

The following legal mention should be included in small but readable type in all marketing materials, unless absolutely impossible:

© 2026 Global Creatures. Moulin Rouge® is a registered trademark of Moulin Rouge.

When adding it, please follow these guidelines:

  • Place the line in a visible area that won’t obstruct the design (along the bottom of the artwork, or on the side)

  • For the font, use Helvetica Neue Condensed (download link below)

  • The size should be small but legible:
    Print: 6 pt, minimum
    Digital: 10 pt/px at 72 ppi, minimum
Outdoor: design at scale using 6 pt, minimum

  • Make the line light gray using the following values:
    CMYK: 0, 0, 0, 50
    RGB: 150, 150, 150
    HEX: #969696

ANIMATED WINDMILL

This video file has a transparent background that allows you to incorporate the windmill in your video composition with ease. When using the windmill, please make sure to always include the Moulin Rouge! The Musical logo (or type out the full name of the show) in the same frame as the windmill.

FLEUR-DE-LIS

This windmill variation is the most up-to-date and must be used for all marketing activities, including print, digital, and press performance backgrounds. Older variations, such as the windmill with the door, should not be used. Additionally, the fleur-de-lis artwork should never be used on its own without the windmill in the pattern.

IMAGE ASSETS

Lady Ms — Hero Image

When pairing an image with the MR logo, this photo is the preferred choice as it feels less like a production photo and is more illustrative/iconic. Use it along with the horizontal logo at the bottom, making sure it is the same width as the heart, and fading out the bottom of the image.

TRUTH BEAUTY FREEDOM LOVE — Tattoo Set

These tattoos should also be used as a set. The dimensions among them are different, so make sure to size them in a way that looks balanced and proportional.

TRUTH BEAUTY FREEDOM LOVE — Poster Set

These posters should be used together as a set. When cropping these posters, make sure to always keep the tattoos fully visible. Also, try to keep in mind the dancers' faces and avoid cropping them, if possible.

HEART PORTAL

We often use this image to frame content inside the black heart — either the logo, quotes or light type. You can either crop this image really tight around the heart, or use in full to place additional light type on the sides. See the example section below to see how this image is used.
